S&C Manual PMH Pad-Mounted Gear is available in ratings of 14.4 and 25 kV, with switches and fuses in circuit configurations to fit every requirement. Recognized throughout the industry for their exceptional features and long-term value, Manual PMH models include:

  • Readily accessible components. Operating personnel can easily visualize the circuitry and see all components being operated
  • Mini-Rupter Switches, operated by an external handle, for 600-ampere three-pole switching of source circuits
  • Uni-Rupter Interrupters for 200-ampere single-pole switching of tap circuits
  • Comprehensive tap protection with:
  • Grounding provisions for simple, direct, and visible grounding of cables
  • Dual-purpose barriers. Guard against inadvertent contact with live parts in the normal, vertical position; provide isolation from bus and upper contacts in the slide-in position
  • Exceptionally rugged construction and the industry’s finest finish. Provide extraordinary resistance to the elements, keep high voltage components securely isolated from unauthorized access.

S&C Source-Transfer PMH Pad-Mounted Gear is a completely self-contained package that provides automatic switching between two sources serving critical loads. It incorporates the same outstanding features as Manual PMH Pad-Mounted Gear, plus stored-energy operators and a sophisticated source-transfer control, which continuously monitors source status and automatically switches to the “good” source if voltage is lost.

Available in ratings of 14.4 and 25 kV, Source-Transfer PMH is recognized throughout the industry for its exceptional features and long-term value. Source-Transfer PMH models include:

  • S&C Micro-AT® Source-Transfer Control. Transfers on loss of source, voltage unbalance, or any source-side open-phase condition. It’s easy to set up. All settings are keypad-programmable; calibration is automatic. Can be furnished with optional communications card to rapidly upload event log to your PC, download standard settings from your PC
  • Built-in voltage sensors and power supply. No external wiring or control power required
  • Mini-Rupter Switches for manual and automatic 600-ampere three-pole switching of source circuits
  • S&C Uni-Rupter Interrupters for 200-ampere single-pole switching of tap circuits
  • Comprehensive tap protection provided by a wide variety of fuses.

S&C Remote Supervisory PMH Pad-Mounted Gear permits automated switching and provides fault protection. It incorporates the same outstanding features as S&C Manual PMH Pad-Mounted Gear and can be specified with a communication and control equipment group, for a completely integrated, self-powered switching and protection package.

Available in ratings of 14.4 and 25 kV, Remote Supervisory PMH Pad-Mounted Gear features carefully integrated components that ensure compatibility—all factory-assembled and checked-out. Remote Supervisory PMH models include:

  • Your choice of remote terminal unit, including S&C’s 6800 Automatic Switch Controls that provide stand-alone automatic sectionalizing. Available with the unique IntelliTeam® SG Automatic Restoration System.
  • Your choice of communication device.
  • Built-in voltage sensor and power supply. Minimizes enclosure size and installed cost.
